Winemaker David Ramey has found a little treasure of a vineyard up on the north side of Clear Lake that’s a fine microclimate for Pinot Noir and Alsatian varieties. This Pinot shows cool-climate damp earth, cherry, raspberry and brown spice delivered over a firm grip. I’d give this some further bottle aging to integrate the oak.
