On the big ripe side of the Napa Valley Cabernet spectrum — very fruit forward, with aromas of blackberry, cassis, toasty oak, allspice and faint dried herbs. The palate shows moderate tannins, balanced acidity and jammy fruit flavors with the allspice and oak toast delivered. It’s already drinking beautifully, and won’t require a lot of time for full maturity — I wouldn’t hold it past five or six years. If you’re a fan of the bold fruit driven style California Cab, this one is for you.
