This 100% Zinfandel was aged for 14 months in a mix of French, Hungarian and American oak, about 10% new. It has a very deep ruby color with purple rims, forward spice and ripe berry aromatics, ripe slightly jammy fruit flavors with noticeable sweetness, subtle American oak notes, 14.5% alcohol and no heat. It’s big and concentrated but unnecessarily sweet.
