Cakebread Cellars, Napa Valley (California) Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

 Dark, dense ruby color and black cherry, blackberry, black plum aromas with hints of  vanilla introduce a gracefully intense wine.  Concentrated flavors of blackberry, black cherry, black plum fruit layered with dark chocolate are smoothly integrated with tangy acidity and smooth as velvet tannins.  While it is very drinkable now, its concentration and structure promise a long life ahead.  The back label sports a Napa Green Label, a certification which means, “The whole facility is certified from production to hospitality to save energy & water and increase efficiency, prevent waste through recycling, composting and environmentally preferable purchasing, reduce GHG emissions and the winery’s carbon footprint, commit to social equity.”
