Perhaps the most Burgundian of the current Calera releases, the Selleck Vineyard exhibits excellent ripeness, with earthy forest-floor aromas and lovely strawberry and raspberry fruit. As with all young Calera pinots, it has firm backbone and a slightly grippy finish that will give way with time in the cellar. This is a California pinot for aging, and that is a rare and beautiful thing.
