It is hard to keep track of the numerous Rhône wines offered under this brand, made in a co-op cellar formed in 1929. The co-op is home to 65 winemakers farming over 500 ha in the Rhône. But this 2020 caught my attention. ”Bête à Bon Dieu” is made from certified organic vineyards, and is a blend of 60% Grenache and equal parts of Syrah and Carignane. The nose displays spiced cherry and plum fruit and the flavors center on black cherry with a touch of dried herbs and anise. Medium bodied with refined tannins, this is a pleasantly textured, elegant and easy to enjoy red. Enjoy now to 2026.
