This San Diego area winery sources fruit from around the state and uses it to great effect in this bottling – likely a blend of Sonoma and Napa fruit, maybe a bit of Lake County as well. It’s quite convincing as a Bordeaux tribute, with earthy minerality complementing black fruit and generous wood spice. This is just starting to unravel – give it a good decant or age up to ten years for full enjoyment. Nicely done!
