Castello di Amorosa, North Coast (California) Pinot Grigio 2023 ($29)

As California Pinot Grigio goes, this is a pretty complex, well conceived wine with a fine tuned mix of attractive citrus fruit and floral aromas. The citrus translates well on the palate, with crisp acidity carrying the flavors into the distance. This is where so many domestic examples fall short – the acid needs to carry the day, and it does so beautifully here.
