A touch of matchstick (a sulphur tell) shows on the initial nose, but it swirls off, exposing cherry, cola, rhubarb, and some dry earth notes both on the nose and in the mouth. A juicy, fully ripe midpalate brightens in the finish thanks to a kiss of acidity. It rides a fine line between taut and plush styles and will work well with both red and white meats.
