Castoro has been doing value-priced Zinfandel well for years, and Zinfusion is a barrel selection of the best lots of the vintage. The 2014 is spot on, with brambly berry and cherry fruit with pepper, fall spice and vanilla all present in a drink me up style that doesn’t veer into sweet or raisin character. Nicely done!
