Cattleya’s “Cuvée Number Eight” Pinot Noir is yet another high energy wine from Bibiana Gonzales-Rave who showcases the vibrant vintage’s acidity and its seemingly easy ability to prop up beautifully ripe fruit. This has a little grip from the barrel, but that will fold in nicely with a little cellar time. Cherry, cola, cinnamon, thyme and some toasty character are present from start to finish and linger long. I love a winemaker on a roll!
