Chateau Cal-a-Vie is a resort outside of San Diego surrounded by vineyards. The vineyards were planted some years ago by the nearby Fallbrook Winery, which also made this Bordeaux-style blend. The wine is as stunning as the price, showing exquisite Bordeaux sensibilities. Notes of cassis, blackberry and plum with a touch of cedar and a hint of oak spice in the background, this is a remarkable achievement both for the Chateau and the Fallbrook Winery. A platinum award-winner at the 2016 Critics Challenge.
