Carmenère, originally from Bordeaux, has always done extremely well in Chile. In the Cachapoal Valley, it is one of the most important varietals and is the most planted red grape in the valley. Chateau Los Boldos’ Gran Reserva delivers balanced herbaceous notes with dark fruit and chocolate espresso. The rich gritty tannin structure makes this wine an ideal pairing with steak or barbequed meats.
