Clos du Val is on a serious roll with the Estate bottling, the 2014 matching the 2013 in intensity, drinkability and age-worthy construction. Ripe black and blue berry, pie spice and moderate toasty oak spice are glass, aromas flood the glass and are delivered directly as palate flavors, with a mouth filling texture and a long finish that’s already well knit together. Supple tannins bode well for a long life. Made by Ted Henry. Contains 3.5% Merlot and 3.5% Cabernet Franc.
