Oh my! This is wildly complex Pinot Noir, and it will need some cellar rest to fully show its charms, but you’ll be handsomely rewarded if you are so inclined to recline a few bottles. The nose shows vibrant dusty white pepper over cherry and strawberry fruit, with notes of rhubarb, leaf, cinnamon and exotic spices. On the palate, a supple grip brings the red fruit to the fore, and singing acidity carries the other elements along. It finishes long, with a little oak forward at present, but it’s headed for full integration. Own-rooted and dry farmed. Absolutely riveting wine!
