The iconic Col d’Orcia is one of Montalcino’s oldest established wineries. Their organic 2015 Brunello di Montalcino has a vibrant bouquet of red cherries, strawberries, savory herbs, and balsamic wafting out of the glass. The palate accentuates the cherry fruit with the addition of tobacco and sage, adding on more layers of complexity. It is medium-bodied, warm, and structured with fine-grained tannins and impeccable balance. The wine reveals outstanding length and a polished, refined finish.
