This wine from the Montalcino district is meant to be light, easy and enjoyable for near-term consumption as you wait for your more structured Brunello di Montalcino to mature. It is all of the above. This smooth and easy Tuscan red is a blend of sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and merlot that exhibits bright cherry notes and supple tannins. The price is as easy as the wine, too.
