Delightfully gamey aromas with good depth of smooth, not textured, cherry flavors followed by a somewhat savory and quite tannic finish. In many ways, the wine reminds me of a Piedmont Nebbiolo with its light color and firm flavors, although the typical Sangiovese raspiness develops with some airing. One of those let-me-try-another-sip reds.
