Authorized in 2004, Tempranillo Blanco is a stable mutation of Tempranillo that naturally occurred and remains available to vintners. Unlike the red grape, Tempranillo Blanco never goes through veraison – the process in which grapes turn from green to red. Conde Valdemar’s Tempranillo Blanco is refreshing with melon, red apple, and saline notes. The body has a touch of tannic structure that provides weight to the palate. The Valdemar family’s mission includes pioneering new horizons and their work with this relatively newer grape demonstrates their winemaking professionalism.
