Cono Sur, Colchagua Valley (Chile) Pinot Noir 2010

Oct 29, 2012

By Michael Franz

Generally speaking, my advice regarding $15 Pinot Noir is, quite simply, don’t.  But this very tasty wine is a conspicuous exception to the rule, showing admirable delicacy and plenty of cherry fruit that is really true to the variety.  There’s just a little whiff of wood around the edges, leaving the supple fruit flavors right up front where they belong.  Perfect for a quick and affordable dinner with a roasted chicken.
