Cono Sur, Maipo Valley (Chile) Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Jun 8, 2011

By Paul Lukacs

A serious Cabernet at a very fair price, this wine offers dark berry flavors enhanced by echoes of cedar and spice.  Both deep and long, it displays quite firm tannins that suggest cellaring is in order.  Most $15 red wines are made in a soft, pliant style so as to reward near-term drinking.  Not this one.
