Conterno Fantino, Dolcetto d’Alba (Piedmont, Italy) 2008

 A Dolcetto with impressive depth, dimension and structure, this wine shows nicely ripened fruit with good concentration and backing from plenty of acidity and tannin.  If you like your Dolcetto to show all of its charms right from the start, this may not quite be your cup of tea, but those with a bit of patience will likely be rewarded, as this should move up from very good to excellent during the next couple of years.
