Criterion Collection, Coonawarra (Australia) Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Dec 27, 2015

By Rich Cook

If you like the minty side of Aussie red wine, but not to the point that you think you’re chewing Wrigley’s spearmint gum, you’ll enjoy this fruit forward Cabernet.  The mint is there, it doesn’t overwhelm the black cherry, plum and spice, but complements them nicely.  Serve it along side a juicy ribeye — you’ll be able to afford a thicker cut with this wine as an accompaniment.
