It has been a long time since I tasted wines from Cuvaison, a winery established in 1969 in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. I recently met Dan Zepponi, President and CEO of Cuvaison, who reintroduced me to their wines, which are impressive for their elegance and seamlessness. The 2019 Chardonnay has ripe, juicy apple, pear, and citrus fruit mingling with wisps of roasted nuts. It is fresh, smooth, and seamless and will continue to develop.
