The heart of a lion is what’s in the glass when you pour the Lionheart of the Barossa. From Carl Lindner’s old Barossa plantings, where some vines are over 100 years old and produce an intensity of fruit that in this example is both powerful and elegant. Black and blue berries, a little tar, rich oak spice and a dash of proper pepper are bold and bright in this nicely reined in bottling, and this finish goes and goes. Roast that lamb and serve it up! A Platinum Award winner at the 2019 Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition.
