Coppermine Road is one of d’Arenberg’s best known red wines from the McLaren Vale region, south of Adelaide. Made from low-yield vines the wine was aged for 18 months in new and used French oak barrels. The color is a very deep ruby with a black core, slightly herbal nose combined with nicely integrated toasted oak. The fruit is ripe and clear with hints of mocha and menthol. Coppermine Road finishes with 14.5% alcohol, plenty of fruit and a little heat.
