Darioush Winery, Napa Valley (California) Viognier 2023

 Viognier is not a variety normally seen in Napa Valley – although there are terroirs there that could certainly do the grape justice – this is a complex wine in spite of its youth.  It leans toward the full-bodied iterations of Viognier, making it a good food companion and has lots of floral notes with mainly green fruit flavors, a hint of lemon, and mild but firm tannins.
