This 100% Chardonnay wine, from the historic De Wetshof estate, is sourced from three vineyard blocks with a higher proportion of limestone in the soil, as compared to the Limestone Hill bottling. Fermented and aged in stainless steel as well, this wine spent 10 months aging on lees prior to bottling. This wine offers perhaps a more typical aromatic expression of Chardonnay combining aromas of zesty lemon peel, lifted white floral, marine (seaweed and ozone), and nutty scents. Elegantly balanced and very long in the finish, this is perfectly suited to convert consumers of white Burgundy to consider drinking wines from the new world.
