While California’s 2020 winter tended to be chilly and rainy, spring and summer offered the sort of beautiful sunny weather that Cabernet grapes love (don’t we all!). The resulting wine floods the palate with a profusion of rich, dark red fruit flavors dominated by cherries and berries. Hints of spice, including nutmeg and cardamom, add to the wine’s overall character, and tannins contribute character and further complexity. The finish lingers long and satisfying, and the alcohol level is 13.9 percent.
