Good things can happen when blending multiple lots from good vintages, and this wine from Decoy does the trick by blending fruit from six different counties, keeping true Zinfandel character in a middle of the road sort of way that makes for a finished product that will please a crowd. Bright berry fruit rides lively acidity and brings pepper and a citric edge along for the trip. Summer grilling comes to mind.
