Diora’s “La Splendeur Du Soleil” is a fabulous value in a rich, flavorful Chardonnay that hails from the banks of the Salinas River just south of King City in Monterey County. It leans into the tropical side of the variety, showing passion fruit and mango aromas and flavors, tempered by lemon crème and just the right acidity to keep things crisp and creamy. Winemaker James Ewart has really dialed this bottling in, and the low price is a big bonus.
