Winemaker Mark Robinson describes Marsanne as a nightmare in the vineyard, but his nightmare becomes your pleasant reverie here. He calls the dominant profile “kumquat marmalade” and that’s entirely plausible, with notes of pear and apple joining in. Long hang time allowed by a surprisingly wide diurnal temperature swing in the vineyard’s location keeps it really bright and fresh, and that fresh acidity will keep you coming back to the glass again and again. Nicely executed!
