Savoie’s native grape, Altesse also known as Roussette, is known as a high quality grape which produces full-bodied, dry wines marked by floral and nutty aromas. This example offers its floral tones in aromatic notes of yellow apple and Bartlett pear, with an undercurrent of custardy, tropical banana and toasted pie crust. Fully dry, it offers a mouth-filling, rich texture balanced by moderate acidity. This should be delicious with shellfish, mushrooms or dishes with creamy sauces.
