Rimage is a Catalan word meaning “aged berry.” This Banyuls is made with no intended oxidation allowing the fruit of the Grenache Noir to come through. The aromas and flavors show black cherry with a trace of walnuts. It’s a deeply flavored wine with 16.5% alcohol and no heat through the finish but plenty of length.
