Just half a mile south of Domaine Tempier sits Domaine Ray-Jane, one of Bandol AOC’s most traditional producers. Owned by Jane and Alain Constant, the estate has been in their families since 1288. In the glass, this blend of Clairette with a touch of Ugni Blanc (including fruit from outside the Bandol appellation) unveils a delicate saline note, followed by stone fruit, white peach, and a hint of green pineapple, woven with yellow and orange blossoms, honey, and Meyer lemon. The palate elegantly balances vibrant fruit with wild herbal nuances. It’s a fantastic pop-and-pour, ready to enjoy right now, whether sipped solo or paired with an elaborate meal.
