Domaine Thenard is an old, rambling winery that turns out berry-rich Pinots with texture and length. Traditional fermentation in oak vats and then aging in large cooperage and barrels gives this wine bright cherry-berry aromas and flavors, non-obtrusive refined tannins, good length and structure. The wine’s light ruby color runs counter to the New World practice of deeply colored Pinots, but doesn’t diminish the rich flavors and texture.
