Duckhorn, Rutherford, Napa Valley (California) Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

 There’s a perfect symbiotic connection all the way from that first nose-in-the-glass sniff (ah those ripe, sun kissed berry aromas!) and the long, multi-faceted finish.  In addition to that finely tuned aromatic symphony there’s the savory deep herbal-oak spiciness as a backdrop to the rich purity of fruit (the blend here is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot).  This is a wine that just keeps giving pleasure.
