For a winery best known for its high-end reds, this is one very impressive Sauvignon. Stylistically, it leans toward Sancerre with its chalky, mineral personality. Straw colored with green glints, it opens in the glass to showcase grassy, lime and orange blossom fragrances. The tangy flavors with their mineral and flinty touches have you guessing Sancerre, but then they sweep across the palate in a richer, more powerful style. Pleasing brisk, citrus finish. Available in Florida and a few other markets, but well worth a special search.
