Etude’s 2014 Ellenbach Pinot Noir delivers a distinctive expression of the Sonoma Coast, with a wild berry note on the nose, layered red and black fruits on the palate, a load of wood spice and firm grip on the finish. This excellent Pinot Noir could use additional time in the bottle to soothe some of its rough edges, but everything you might want in a meaty, powerful California Pinot Noir is there.
