The Zuccardi family has traditionally produced Tempranillo, and the wine is always sold with bottle age as they feel the variety needs some time to be truly expressive. The 2016 Tempranillo unfolds with dense, delicious, dark-fruited layers on the palate coupled with notes of tobacco, leather, and a touch of spice (from the use of oak). The flavors complement the fine-grain tannins and smooth finish. This is a great value wine, given the quality it delivers. Enjoy now and over the next 5 to 7 years.
