Felton Road, Central Otago (New Zealand) Pinot Noir 2009

 Central Otago, located on the southern end of New Zealand’s South Island, is one of the few places in the world where Pinot Noir has the potential to make outstanding wine.  And Felton Road is one the best producers in the area.  This lovely, finesse-filled wine combines delicate raspberry-scented fruit with earthy gamey notes.  It has the great interplay of sweet and savory components that makes Pinot Noir so alluring.
