Founded in 1986 by Ted Gerber, Foris now farms 255 acres but quietly goes about its business of turning out value-driven wines from its estate. Planted to several Dijon clones, the estate vineyard’s Pinot Noir is hand harvested, destemmed and fermented as whole berries. Aged in French oak, 85% new, this 2022 serves up attractive, vibrant cherry, blackberry aroma with some oak spice. Medium bodied and smooth, it is somewhat silky in texture with youthful cherry and spice flavors and light tannin. Balanced and ready to enjoy now as your everyday Pinot, but it won’t disappoint over the next year or two.
