I’m always surprised that there isn’t more Charbono on offer when I taste this particular bottling. Fortino has produced this for many years, and it’s a lusty red wine that anyone will warm to easily. Rich plum and ripe blackberry fruit get a boost from moderate oak toast, and the finish stays bright for a good while. Taste a little California history.
