I liked the 2011 wines by David Rossi, and this vintage represents yet another step forward. From a vineyard that combines limestone soil and cool climate, David brings us this deep, full bodied expression. Black cherry, blueberry, damp earth, hibiscus and spice are richly intertwined in this wine that’s very approachable now. I paired this very successfully with pork tenderloin in a cranberry, onion, fig and balsamic sauce. Well done!
