Here’s a plush Oregon Pinot Noir — not words generally found in the same sentence together — and it shows the warm 2014 growing season on the northwest coast. Black cherry and red plum lead the aroma profile, with pie spice and a little fennel in the background. The palate shows a rich texture, and a supple grip carries the promise of the nose through a long finish that brings some sweet oak notes forward. This is a fine solo glass of Pinot Noir.
