G.D. Vajra may be best known for their Barolos but, for a fraction of the price, their Langhe Nebbiolo is a strong choice on any wine list. G.D. Vajra’s 2022 vintage Langhe Nebbiolo shows classic tar, cranberry, and dried rose petal notes, but also a distinct black cherry flavor with accents of leather and chalky minerality. Langhe Nebbiolos have reduced aging requirements between fermentation and sale, making them much more affordable than Barolo or Barbaresco and, moreover, often a better choice for consumers looking to open a bottle without needing to cellar it.
