This bottling is a blend of several prime vineyard sites in the Russian River Valley, including Hallberg, Bacigalupi and Floodgate vineyards, and it’s a solid blending effort, showing depth and complexity of aroma and flavor including elements of cherry pie, pomegranate and spice with notes of citrus zest and a touch of pepper. It finishes very long and well integrated, with mouth-watering acidity and soft oak spice. A fine solo sipper, or pair it with brightly spiced salmon.
