This succulent and urbane deep red wine from Kosovo makes a delicious accompaniment to a variety of foods — from beef and chicken to red-sauced pasta preparations and hearty non-meat based dishes. Part of its versatility at the table may be due in part to its relatively low alcohol content (13.5%). Consumers will surely savor this wine’s classic flavors including blackberries, blueberries, black pepper and a hint chocolate. The wine’s medium (rather than heavy) weight on the palate is yet another reason why it partners deliciously with such a variety of foods. Mr. Rrustem Gecaj, the Albanian-American owner of this estate, now lives mostly in the US.
