It’s on the heftier side for California Pinot Noir, with dense, dark plum and black cherry fruit and sturdy, ageworthy tannins. Menthol, vanillin oak and a slight herbal character add interest to a wine best suited to savory beef dishes and duck breast with cherry or berry sauce. Roast chicken is also a great mate.
