Hattingley Valley, England (United Kingdom) Sparkling Wine Blanc de Blancs 2015 ($64)

This 100% Chardonnay offering spent 8 years on the lees prior to disgorgement, and the payoff is a rich nose of baked bread and malt. A pop of malt hits the palate first, and quickly gives way to bright apple, lemon and toasted bread that push boldly through a long finish. This is great stuff !
